Bishop Duan K. Maiden

He was born to Bishop Jerry L. and Missionary Johnetta C. Maiden on May 23, 1975, in Shreveport, LA. Bishop Duan K. Maiden is the second of three sons born to this union. He has two brothers, Dea. Anthony and Minister of Music Jerry Maiden, Jr.

Bishop Maiden's spiritual journey began at the age of six years old when he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior in The Church of The Living God, The Pillar and Ground of The Truth.

Bishop Maiden was greatly impacted by the persistence that his parents showed by insisting that he be involved in his church. He was a faithful choir member at an early age and grew to love the music ministry. Through the music ministry he discovered one of his many gifts, ministering through song. Another gift that the Lord has blessed him with is being a leader. He has been the Choir President, Bible Drill Team Captain, Director of Christian Education, Sunday School Teacher, Evangelism Coordinator, Marriage Enrichment Facilitator, and Praise and Worship Leader.

Bishop Maiden attended Southern University of Baton Rouge, LA. on a full Athletic Scholarship. He was a running back at C.E. Byrd High School in Shreveport, LA. He was also the first African American "Mr. Byrd". He graduated from C.E. Byrd High as a "Top Jacket" in 1993.

Bishop Maiden met and began dating the love of his life Maryanne Miller at the age of sixteen years old. The two dated for three years and were joined in holy matrimony on May 21, 1994. From this blessed union came three children: Duan Keist II, Jalen J'Waun and Taylor Johnette Maiden.

Bishop Maiden became passionate about the word of God and totally sold out to living for God. Through his relationship with the Lord he was elevated to the office of a Deacon where he faithfully served for almost one year. On the fifth Sunday in May 1998 Deacon Maiden accepted his call to preach the Gospel. Minister Maiden was licensed a year later by The National Church of The Living God, in 1999 and ordained as Elder in October 2000. Elder Maiden was called to The Church of The Living God, Keithville, LA. in October 2004 were he faithfully served for a year and a half. He later organized Now Faith Outreach Ministries COTLG in 2006-2011. He was elevated to Overseer of The Church of The Living God Wichita Falls and Dallas District in 2013.

Bishop Maiden was called in December 2013 to service The Church of The Living God of Dallas due to the death of our beloved National Vice-President, Bishop Charles Junior. Bishop Maiden was officially appointed Pastor at the National Holy Convocation 2014.
